That's part of "keepin it real".

Even if you have a Harvard diploma, if you are black you need to rob with a mob sometimes, otherwise you will lose your "identity".

If you are too intelligent, other blacks will call you "white", see Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell or Barack Obama for reference.
