He helped Acorn to sue and pursue banks into giving out bad loans.
As a Senator he just "didn't notice" what is happening although he knew how all of this works FOR YEARS, big surprise that his personal adviser was their CEO 
He received plenty of money from them and he was a part of the Democratic resistance to regulation (Clinton's own words).
