Wow... such a picture...people streaming for a mile.

There is a TEN HOUR wait to vote.  Gwinett County, GA.

MSNBC reporter mentioned that just about everyone in the line is African-American.

Good to see citizens who care...

We care, but let's be honest... we're middle class, with comfortable enough lives to post on getbig during the day when many people are at work :)

There are millions of people who can't find a decent job, who can't eat or get medical like they used to, who have worked hard their whole lives and have nothing to show for it...

Maybe they see voting as the ONLY option for change they have right now.

Which side is likely to have its voters say "fuck it, I'm going home"..... the side with enthusiasm or the side voting for the "lesser of two evils"?

This report makes me optimistic about Georgia.

exactly. sights like this, thousands of blacks turning out to vote in the south, scare the crap out of conservatives. given the demographics of the south theres no reason why conservatives should dominate there the way they do...they know the south is their last stronghold, i fully expect 'efforts' are currently underway to stall these lines as much as possible and make the process as difficult and lengthy as they can.
