« on: November 13, 2008, 10:58:52 PM »
I was at H.E.B. today and i saw these:

It's a HGH spray. It was 50 bucks. Is this stuff any good for older people? I'm thinking about getting it for my dad. Thanks

Yes, get it together with the meno pause stuff. ::) ::)

No wait:
Are you insane?? That stuff is worthless. If something like this worked, we all would use it, don't you think??

It's a gimmick. It's basically herbs & such that "may" increase HGH production. You should just save your money.

I'm pretty sure all the HGH sprays are useless. One HGH product that i think is pretty good is Hemogex by VPX. It has GH peptide 2 in it. GH peptide 2 has been used in clinical studies with real physicians and has showm measurably siginificant increased in growth hormone production and is orally availbale. I have tried it and noticed after 8 weeks, some definite bodyfat reduction and more muscle fullness. I believe peptides will become fairly popular for GH release in the years to come. Some other Gh peptides that have been shown to work are Hexarelin, Gh peptide 6, Semorelin acetate. These you have to get at underground labs for the time being.

If you really want to get him something useful as a birthday present or something, pay for his consultation and blood tests with an HRT doctor.  Knowing levels of testosterone, LH & FSH, estrogens, igf1, prolactin, thyroid hormones & TSH, and whatever else the doc recommends, is necessary in order to decide whether to take action and to ensure he's taking the right action.  Standard screenings for things like liver & kidney health, diabetes, cancer markers, and PSA are wise too.  If you've got the money, send him to the Mayo Clinic for a top to bottom checkup.

I'd recommend the same for you (or anyone) on a semiregular basis so that you have a baseline.  That data might be real handy one day.  With things like PSA (prostate specific antigen) for example, the level someone tests at is actually less telling than the trend.

They can check into all of the stuff I listed and more with just blood.  Tell him no one is going to stick a finger up his ass.

Remind him that at the very least he'll have peace of mind to know there isn't a nasty shock like cancer right around the corner.  You could also point out that TRT will have him feeling 20-30 years younger.  Add some HCG and a dopamine agonist and he'll be fucking like an 18 year old again, but you might want to say that out of earshot of your mom.  ;D
