You're right.  Look at the break of the pants.  Clearly they have not been tailored, and if they have, the tailor who did them is horrible.  Given the cut of the suit, and his thin tie, a short break would be ideal for that suit.  A hip hop artist like Shawn Combs has the right idea when it comes to looking good in a fine suit.  The break of your pant can "make or break" the suit you are wearing.  Every man should own a suit, and that suit (regardless of the brand or coast) should be tailored correctly.  You can make an inexpensive suit look expensive if you wear it right.

Yes, the thin tie is a contemporary look, which lends itself to a 2 button suit with a contemporary cut.  The pants Akon is wearing are far to long.  He looks like shit.  I think you are justified in calling Akon out, a man of his wealth should know how to wear a proper suit

Iron, although Akons suit may be an expensive one, he makes it look cheap by wearing it like a ghetto thug.  The suit is not tailored properly, and frankly, a man of his wealth should know better.  Notice how the break of the pants is "baggy" and to long.  Also, his jacket needs to be taken in around the waist a bit.  If you are going to be on a red carpet (and you are going to act like you are a big shot), you better not wear a fine suit like some kind of piece of shit.

No need to apologize.  The cost of a suit means little, it's how it fits.  Of course an expensive suit is going to be of better quality, but thats not to say you can't look great in something more affordable.
