Belichick shook hands with Tom Coughlin after that game  :-\   It's funny how so many in the media hate on Bill, but those who know him say he is one of the nicest guys out there.  He has to be doing something eight, his players love him.  He does a radio show on WEEI and he is very personable and humorous.

I know I'm going to be railed on for saying this, but this is not a lie.  Belichick is close friends with a member of my family and I have met him several times at weddings and other important family functions.  Honest to God, Belichick is the nicest guy out there.  Smart as hell.  The way he trusts the media is by design.  He never gives them ammunition and they hate him for it.

When he coached the probowl everyone loved him, and many people said they where shocked at how cool he was.

exactly. It's all a game with the media. He seems like a really cool guy. There was a good article in Boston magazine i think, that showed what a nice guy he is.

I remember when the colts beat them.manning went to try and shake belichick's hand brian wasn't havin it

Who's Brian?  Also, Manning was coached by Belichick at the pro bowl that year and was seen joking with him.  Brady and Manning are good friends.

I'm sure Belichick is an intense competitor to the point that when he loses he takes a while to get over it.   So after a loss he's probably not very polite.  But other then that he's probably a regular guy.
