where did all this stuff aboutr Dec 12 2012 start, sounds like a marketing gimmick by the History channel and other people in cohoots to sell some T shirts.  People keep changing Nostrodamosus predictions every 10 yrs to sell some bullshit.

It's linked back to the Mayans and a few other civilizations (Sumarians).  The Mayan calendar ends in 2012 which is supposed to signify a change in mankind, some believe it to be the end of the world, but the Mayans believed it would be a change in spiritual consciousness and evolution of our society.
