Conversion therapy
« on: January 08, 2009, 01:51:26 PM »
Conversion therapy has been defined by the American Psychological Association as therapy aimed at changing sexual orientation, and by the American Psychiatric Association as "psychiatric treatment...which is based upon the assumption that homosexuality per se is a mental disorder or based upon the a priori assumption that a patient should change his/her sexual homosexual orientation. Techniques that have been tried include behavior modification, aversion therapy, psychoanalysis, primal therapy, EMDR, and reparative therapy.

wow, you sure like to take things out of context.  both APAs have stated that conversion therapy is unethical and does not work, that homosexuality is not a mental disorder.

$100 says if someone broke into w187's computer they'd find that 75% of his hard drive is taken up with hardcore gay porn.
