Morning joe had a good Q today...
There is a major world crisis... you can lock any 2 politicians in one room to solve the crisis.

Who do you choose?

Honestly, I think it'd be Hilary and Cheney.

Of the american politicians....

I can clearly see the Arnold / Jesse Ventura solution... Arnold sets the parameter around Israel/Gaza/West bank and builds the wall around it all. He then drops all the ammo ha can get his hands on in over the wall.

Two weeks later Jesse ventura can sweep the area clean, hose it down and voilá... cheap land for sale in the middle east.

Hillary??

I wouldn't choose a politician:  Colin Powell, Henry Kissinger, James Baker.

Um... do they have to be living?

How about Ronald Reagan and Teddy Roosevelt?

I don't know if Dave is a politician, but I'd love to see him run in 10 years. He will be head of the Joint Chiefs someday.

Why 10?  Why not 4?

Hi, moveon.org

Moveon is a disgraceful organization.

Patreus is a hero and competent leader.

While not really politicians, Patton and Patreus.
Powell would have to be at the top of the politician list.

Patton is my favorite figure of all time and I have read I think every book ever written about the man.

Patton, bar none, is probably one of the best military men we have ever had.

I like Patton, kinda hot headed but I'd have followed him. I have several of the best Bio's and a framed print of him in my office. As for P4, we need him in the army. He will be in Centcom for 2 more years and then I expect him to serve atleast as Army COS and hopefully as our head of the Joint Chiefs. Thats about 4 years of work. He could be ready in 2012. He's extremely smart, even tempered and could do a good job. I'm not sure if he would want to do it.

Ha ha.  i have a bust statue in my waiting room of Patton as well as of framed picture of him at Battle of the Bulge.

Was he flawed?  Immensely.  But that is what made him even more amazing as a person.

I always tell people the story about he went to the Mexican border and shot two of Pancho Villa's men and then tied them to the hood of his car and drive them back to Black Jack Pershing as a trophy.

People dont believe me when I tell them that story.

As Michael Savage says - "we need more Patton, and less Patent leather."

and Cheney.

Vice President Dick Cheney said Thursday that he sees no reason for President George W. Bush to pre-emptively pardon anyone at the CIA involved in harsh interrogations of suspected terrorists. "I don't have any reason to believe that anybody in the agency did anything illegal," he said.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Cheney also said that Bush has no need to apologize for not foreseeing the economic crisis.

"I don't think he needs to apologize. I think what he needed to do is take bold, aggressive action and he has," Cheney said.

"I don't think anybody saw it coming," he said.   ::)

Just the way he handles everything. What a blind man.
