Since you believe the 4 Canonical gospels are factual, accurate accounts with ZERO errors in them what do you think of the Apocryphal Gospels?

I think that they are not in the Bible for a reason. Among other things, it does not mesh with the Gospels or the writings of Paul, as far as aspects of Jesus' life are concerned. And, some of them contained doctrine that is quite contrary to what Jesus Himself taught.

My point was that the Canonical gospels (at least, Matthew and Luke) give references to Jesus' early life, contrary to your earlier statement. While it doens't tell you whether or not Jesus had a bowl of Manna Krispies for breakfast at age 8, I think there's sufficient coverage of His boyhood. In short, the Gospels don't just skip from His birth to His ministry.

Deicide, I think you're missing a key point to my post, one which I perhaps didn't highlight enough.  We're not talking about a real walking son of god here.  Remember during that time real people/high-royalty took on the attributes of various gods and or a new line based on past gods and they did so often.  Indeed there could have been a real person who took on this life of Jesus. Mortals proclaiming themselves gods was very normal, no need make up a person who did it. Caesarion really comes to mind for me because he was raised believing he was Horus as his mother was Isis. Horus is Iessus, not hard to see how that gets turned into Jesus after time and this name, issa or Iessus is Christ in Greek.  Issa is the name the young man fleeing a middle east country around the same time, same age that Caesarian fled Egypt to the area around Tibet and during the missing years of Jesus.  and remember, Caesarion believed/was told his father, Caesar WAS god.  So here you have his mother who in her role as Isis is very similar to Mary and his father was god, to him.  And don't forget the parallels many point to in the teaching of Jesus and eastern philosophies which could account for where he picked them up.

Just found this by accident which relates to part of my original post on the greek spelling of Jesus. http://www.wildernesshop.org/Sacred%20Names.htm

Quote
This is what I discovered.   There was no "J" or "J" sound in Hebrew.  It is a fact that  the original King James of 1611 did not have "J" as "J" was fairly new to the English language. (The "J" officially became a letter in English in 1630.  They took the Stylized "I" and made it a "J")  In fact,  it was the King Iames version originally! (Click here to see a copy of Iohn chapter 1 from the KVJ of 1611. Take note that 1:4 the "I" looks like "J" and then 1:7 for Iesus.  Notice the top the "The Gofpel according to S. Iohn)  The original KJV of 1611 was full of mistakes - many, many mistakes.  Jesus, which was spelled Iesous (pronounced EEEEAAAA sues) in that original version as well as other English versions that were around.    The stylized form of "I" looked like a "J" and became the "J" in modern English and took on the "J" sound.

I could only find that Yahshua was transliterated into Greek as Ieso (pronounced EEEAAAsue) and an "s" was added to the end to make it a masculine name thus making his name Iesos.  There is literature out there by a messianic group that claims that the word Ieso is a healing goddess. Although this sounds about right the way Constantine mixed pagan with Christianity, I could not find any thing on this except for in their literature.  Iesos became Iesous in latin and then Iesus  and then Jesus.
