Really...Targeted by Obama... ::)

Yes, really:

“You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.

Nope but we're talking about it and he's all over the news..CNBC..Fox MSNBC talking about his commenst, people talking about him, Conservative radio..the un-Fairness doctrine etc etc. Obama shouldn't worry about an entertainer/editorialist when trying to build bi-partisian support on a bill.

Who called it a witch hunt?

"Targeted" carrys a connotation as if they are holding meetings on how to stop Rush...like seriously. He gave a 1 sentence comment on Rush. Not my definition of Targeting someone.

I understood your post.  I wasn't saying you called him the leader of the party.  I was trying to say they (Democrats) need to focus on the party's leader(s) and not some entertainer.  They might as well target an actor like Dennis Miller.

I actually agree with you that they need to hit back.  I don't agree the target should be a radio talk show host.

Limbaugh won't recover from what?  The guy makes a gazillion dollars a year.  He has been the 800 pound gorilla on radio for about 20 years now.  He's not going anywhere.

LOL

Very good point.

However, I think he just might going out in the cold this time.

You remember the Bush ranch bet we had?

And I was gonna admit I was wrong?

It's only 3-4 months away IMO (if he hasn't moved by May, then I will say I'm wrong, mmmkey?).

Howabout this: If by your opinion Rush Limbaugh is out in the cold and a persona non grata in the GOP, by the end of May, you will admit you were wrong and eat your Hawaiian lei. 8)

Deal?

It's not just a comment.  When the most powerful man in the world speaks, the entire world is the stage.  I think he was clearly trying to make some kind of political point.  It was misguided.

Not sure I can make this deal, because it assumes that Rush Limbaugh occupies a prominent position in the GOP.  He doesn't.  He holds no office.  No title.  I never hear Republican leaders (House, Senate, etc.) talk about him.  So I guess you're talking about ratings?  If so, I'll make that deal.  I will eat a plate full of vegetables if he sees a significant drop in his ratings by May.   :)

We'll give Dubya till May to move to Paraguay.  Never gonna happen.
