on star and gps

Does this technology worry anyone else?  If I remember correctly the cops/feds/etc can shut your vehicle off via on star.  As far as gps is concerned, most people will buy it via debit/credit card, meaning their personal data has been recorded and "attached" to a specific device.  Maybe I'm just being crazy, but I feel that sometime in the near future, the technology that was intended to help us, could hurt us.

I agree the potential will be there, but just like anything, privacy rights need to be protected by laws.

everything good could be used to harm us as well, nature of the beast

what worries me is the use by everyday ppl to achieve these results, Im sure the technology and know how isnt that far behind from some hacker kid to be able to shut down your vehicle from his computer just for kicks.
