Johnsons and Scotts are the two main lines.....Are you sure you have a painter? Painters are ultra rare, and the white one does not look like a painter.
Johnson line- Undershot jaw, massive bone structure and bowed legs up front.
Scott - Slightly smaller head (still big), slightly undershot jaw, much longer muzzle, much more athletic and agile.
Painters are the fighting line and those are very rare.
I am not sure whether the little one is a Painter or an Altman....he is a rescue & the owners were kind of clueless. Go figure. All I know is that I saw his pic on the bulldog rescue site, drove to Tampa (3+ hours in a big rainstorm on a Saturday & saved his life.) He was scheduled to be put down on Monday. The couple were planning to get married & the girl didn't like the dog. BTW, he is now 3 years old & is doing great these dayz.
