Why?  The Medrol I know of is a corticosteroid.  Its not something you'd want to cycle.

Listen to the Vet.

When he says don't fuck with corticos, don't do it.

You'll gain fat and it will fuck up your metabolism.   >:(

You are talking about something completely different there.    I understood your first post to be that you were wanting to cycle Medrol like others cycle anabolics.   Corticosteroids are not that type of drug.

I've had triamcinalone (a corticosteroid) injections in my shoulders and elbow, done appropriately they are a miracle worker for return of function because they reduce inflammation and as a result increase range of motion and reduce pain.  the thing is I wouldn't do any injections 8-10 weeks or less before a meet unless you have severe pain and loss of function.  The corticosteroids can predispose to cartilage problems, so if you get one and then are blasting it pushing for a meet, you may end up worse off.   I'd be especially cautious about anything involving the pec shoulder tie in.   Have you had a pec tear before?

I wouldn't use Medrol systemically for a shoulder problem (ie don't take the pills).  Talk with a qualifed sports medicine specialist and have the joint itself injected if its indicated.

Just out of curiosity what meet are you doing in May?

Thx once again. I never had any tear, however I think that if I don't get cautious I might get one.
I will compete on the Portuguese Powerlifting Nationals.

Corticos are popular in some powerlifting circles. Things like Dexamethasone done for a couple of days only, before a meet. Analgesic, stimulating, easing muscle tightness, etc.
