He did outright triple the number he was given off-air when he went on-air.

Imagine the outrage if Obama decided to triple the numbers on something he was very clearly given 5 minutes earlier - and was busted on camera doing it.

Yep Im sure it was... LOL...

I pay myself 5,000 a week. Thats all I need, the rest stays in my businesses and gets reinvested. But since you make 6400/week how much you pay in taxes out of that 6400? Id be willing to bet your check was 640 not 6400.

Yes, a more cohesive message and more detailed plans are needed but the rallies were people expressing organized frustration.
There have been alternative tax and spend proposals but they were shot down quickly.

The people telling their government to stop its enormous deficit spending is not foolish or something to ridicule.
I'm sure there were a couple signs that were questionable, just like every rally but in general, these were very peaceful protests.

We focus on federal income tax but many here fail to see the increase in taxation baked into the retail prices of items. Cigarettes and alcohol taxation have gone up significantly. Same with regional taxation, RITA, city and state taxes in many areas. This is a nationwide call to limit spending at all levels. So many states are bankrupt and looking for federal dollars. Its the worst at a federal level, but we are seeing multi-level unsustainable spending. Anyone who agrees with the federal gov's recent spending should look at California because that is where we are headed as a nation if we cannot control spending.

I have no idea 333386. I anticipate more tax raises by 2011. Obama laid out budget deficits for the next 10 years and thats assuming we will be getting the optimistic growth #s his people assumed (I hope so, but what if they are off...even worse).

I am not personally bothered by the word 'teabagging' but I'm not so sure thats a reasonable term to be using by the media on newschannels. Just something wrong about Maddow repeatedly using teabagging as a verb. I guess it was on CNN too, which I didn't expect.

It is obvious that a movement is breweng. It has to start somehwere and I was very encouraged by what i saw yesterday.

The next battle is Obama's push for amnesty for illegal aliens.

Maddow would be the first one to scream if someone called Barney Frank,Barney Fag.However,when its the left,name calling is just fine.I wonder if she would call those at the events "teabaggers" to their face?My bet is NO!!!

The problem is that the republicans and other conservatives are constantly chanting this low taxation mantra....but the republicans lower taxes then borrow to make up the difference......which puts us into debt to the chinese......and we pay a lot of interest on that debt........I would rather be taxed and pay our own way than to continue borrowing money from other countries which puts us at risk because these countries will basically own our asses and our children's asses for years to come..
