Happend to me today, i ate a cooked dinner, basically 8 ounces of potatos with 8 ounces of chicken breast covered in vegtable gravy.
Then 15 minutes later i did my training, lasted about 40 minutes and i drank a bottle of gatorade during it(36g dextrose), then after i finished i drank the protein drink i make with 50grams of dextrose and 50g whey protein.

10 minutes after drinking that protein drink i felt like i needed to go to bed and sleep lol i guess my blood sugar levels hit the floor.. and i felt slightly sick untill 20 mins later.

The gatorade was overkill considering i had 50g of dextrose right after the workout i didn't really need the sports drink during lol. If i didn't drink that i wouldn't have been so tired afterwards, i know that sounds wierd to those of you who don't understand manipulating blood sugar levels.

Ever since i started using 50g of dextrose+whey after workout my recovery has improved quite noticibly.... i guess i am a believer in the milos principles about spiking insulin to push amino acids+glycogen into the muscle, diffrence is i do it by getting the pancreas to produce a moderate amount of insulin instead of injecting a ridiculous amount.

you probably didn't train hard enough to use all the food you ate beforehand.

You need more time between your meal and the beginning of your training.
