http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=afg8MXnVGSGo&refer=homeWe also get the usual drivel about "a strong dollar is what this admin. is pursing" and "our admin. is following a strong dollar policy."
In this case, the actions do not follow the rhetoric or vice a versa. With all the money being created, deficits and gigantic spending just how long will our govt. be able to con the rest of the world? In my humble and non-expert opinion, the world will eventually come to the very correct conclusion that our govt. has no ability to plan ahead more than 1 election cycle and will more than likely monetize the debt and pay our debt holders back with dump trucks filled with dollar toilet paper.
Also, the CBO projects massive and unprecedented deficits for the next decade or more. Add this with the fact that our overall national debt+entitlement obligations will simply put the thought of even thinking about beginning to balance the budget into the realm of pure fantasy.
The media won't be able to color over this crap for much longer, although they, for the most part, let the current Admin. get away with saying that the 3.6 trillion dollar budget w/ 9,000 earmarks (which the Pres. said there would be none of) and a doubling of the deficit, is the the beginning of a new age of responsible spending.
Again, just my opinion. Feel free to disagree. No all caps lock posts allowed.
