Yeah SPeck was a weird one.  COnsidered an alpha-male due to the extra Y chromosome. 

 Wrong!  His lawyer claimed that but it was later proved false.

If GQ is pushing it, it will happen.

The problem is that GQ and Men's Vogue are pushing it, but nobody is buying it. Maybe it's the economy our ever laxing culture (nobody gets dressed to go to court or church anymore :-[---which means guys and women  are starting to have no dress sense), or the fact that what they are pushing is aesthetically unpleasing, or all of this.
