SARKOZY: IRAN ELECTION WAS A FRAUD
« on: June 17, 2009, 09:02:23 PM »
hundreds of protesters arrested, major electronic jamming, all reporters getting kicked out.

now france leader calling election a scam.  Ayatollah will get on TV tomorrow and make announcement regarding any chance of a re-do on the election.

Iran’s opposition held another rally and stepped up its challenge to the Islamic regime on Wednesday as the authorities intensified a crackdown on the media to try to contain the biggest crisis since the 1979 revolution.

As Tehran shuddered under the blow of another day of unrest, French President Nicolas Sarkozy appeared to emerge as a leading supporter of the anti-government protesters, becoming perhaps the first major Western leader to declare that the Iranian election last Friday was a “fraud.”

While some governments tried to avoid taking sides, Sarkozy said the unrest was a direct result of Ahmadinejad’s failings in his first term.

“The extent of the fraud is proportional to the violent reaction,” said the French leader.

“It is a tragedy, but it is not negative to have a real opinion movement that tries to break its chains,” Sarkozy said.

Who cares?  The ayatollah is the one who runs the show anyway.  The median age in all the major metro areas in Iran is 28.  They want democracy and progression.  They want all the things the west has access to.

There are protests planned and taking place all over the world, including in Russia.
Apparently, alot of Russians aren't liking Putin's reception of Ahmedinejad. They view it as legitimizing a fraud.

Supposedly there also supposed to be a big protest organized for Saturday in Las Vegas at the Fashion Mall at 4pm.

Protests in Las Vegas...Has gambling fallen off that much that political protest will become the new economy in Nevada?

Americans better protest the decisions being made in Washington regarding their own affairs and let Iran concern itself with Iranian affairs.

No, American needs to vocalize support for encouraging a fair treatment of all people and free elections.  Not to directly interfere, but to publicly criticize the way the Iranian terror regime treats and oppresses its own people.  I expected Obama to be a bit more forward in vocalizing support for human rights and criticize the way the administration handled their scam election, is cutting off all media attempts and killing relatively peaceful protesters.  I agree that we should not interfere with money or military, absolutely, but America has always stuck up for nations crying for humans rights and democracy!
