Q for 240

Can you give us all some predictions on how the rest of Obama's presidency is going to go?  Is he going to destroy us or bring us out of the mess the former administration created?

 ???

i think it'll be Clinton II, except for he's starting in a worse spot.

He knows the saudis and chinese will be cutting off our balls for the dollar and oil in the next 10 years, and he's doing what he can to get in front of that with Cap/Trade.  Motivate these smart individuals to create the next new energy form.

Remember, Obama has planned his ascent for the last 30 years.  No way he's just winging it now.  He knows the situation we're facing, and he's getting in front of it.

Unemployment is thru the roof because everyone enjoys that 6 months of checks.  Once those 6 months are up, they start looking for work again.  We're seeing the # of new unemployment claims lessen each month since jan.

I'm optimistic.  It'll be CLinton II, with the one exception of cap/trade for energy independence.  it'll be a tough short-term price spike.  Remember how the repubs shat all over Clinton for not starting drilling in 93?  He said it would cost too much and not kick in for 10 years.  Well, obama has the same situation.  Energy independent USA will be expensive now, and a lot of ppl don't like that.  But Obama has all the facts that we don't - and he believes in 10 years, either limited oil or limited dollar buying power will put us in that spot.

Hell, if we all knew food would be 10X the price in ten years, we'd be begging obama to pass a bill pushing for new food production.  People aren't that concerned about energy.  Obama, however, is.  And I think that'll be his legacy.  The guy that pissed everyone off getting us off that foreign oil nipple.

How about carter 2.

The economy isn't remotely the same as it was in 1994. Further the Dems are doing everything they can to destroy or delay a recovery. Unless the Repubs capture Congress in 2010, we're gonna continue to slide. Obama is crushing small businesses with taxes and now this cap and trade bullshit. Drilling would accomplish alot, nuke plants would also...we're doing neither. Obama is a naive moron that can't get anything done. This guy is a one term mistake.
