You are talking but actually saying nothing...big surprise.  Like I said, someone, probably a gimmick of you by the way you are acting, said the post office was an example of a government run entity that was a rousing success.  It clearly is not and that was the whole point, which of course you missed. 

You strike me as a lifetime student who loves dealing in theories, but with virtually no real world experience outside your very limited scope.  Check back in 10 years.

Pretty much the only time you see USPS post a profit is when they increase the price of stamps.  They then take that money to the treasury and use it for times like these.  Well unfortunately they have long since run out of money, and they are bleeding money.  A company like Fedex almost always posts a profit on the other hand, with the exception of times like these.

The post office budget is 70 billion a year.  They lost 7 billion this year.

Fed Ex is cutting its budget by 17% for 2009.

Private companies competing with the post office are losing a larger percentage of money yet you guys cherry pick the post office's 7 billion dollar shortfall to push your libertarian nonsense about all things gov. are bad.
