Thanks so much, though I'm not in fact a huge cricket fan, I still don't understand it. Or more accurately I've never been and have never had the game properly explained to me. I live only a mile or so from Lords and can see the telly helicopters and goodyear blimps from my back garden when they're playing there. But I've never been. I've watched a few games outside a country pub on the village green on a lazy Sunday though. Yawn...
Yeppers, it was a big huge important England sports win. Should improve morale in this sad country. But they're doing a very low-key victory, no getting drunk or having parades, guess it's not in keeping with current financial times to throw a massive party nowadays...
But I'm far more of a football fan. My grandad played for Liverpool so I'm footie blood ! We probably won't win this year, that's okay, we have won more often than any other club.
Haven't even seen Slumdog Millionaire yet and it's out on DVD already. I'd read the book a few years ago (Q&A it was called, they changed the title). They also decided to change most of the 10 questions I noted, whilst watching the trailers last autumn. Also the daft Brit Boyle or Doyle Producer Director twat kept taking all the credit and none whatsoever was given to the author of the book. So I didn't think I wanted to see it. I'll catch up soon I guess. The book was really rather good.
