If used properly, most people will not have a problem with going sterile or permanently shutting down their test production.  But, everyone’s different.  All I can do is use myself as an example of someone who used IMPROPERLY (no PCT) and still was able to have kids.

I've been cycling for about 15 years.  I'd say I've averaged at least two good cycles per year until about 1 year ago when I just decided to stay on most of the time.  I never used PCT of any sort during at least the first 14 years of that 15 year period.

When we decided to get pregnant about six years ago, I stopped AAS without PCT for about three-four months to let my body normalize.  We didn't get pregnant at first and decided to go to a fertility specialist after about a year and a half.  I was convinced it was my fault because of the AAS use.

The doctor ran all sorts of tests on me and couldn't find anything wrong.  In fact, my sperm count was very high.  My wife was fine as well.

After trying unsuccessfully for a bit longer, we decided to do IVF, which luckily worked the first time.   I jumped back on cycle after she was about 5 months pregnant and out of the woods so to speak.

Then, when we wanted to have a second child, we didn’t even try naturally – we just went straight to IVF again.  Again, it worked the first time (note:  I stopped AAS without PCT a few months out from IVF).

Then, about two months after my wife gave birth to our second child, she got pregnant unexpectedly.  I had just finished a cycle about a month before (no PCT) and assumed that, based on our past difficulties and my recent AAS use, we couldn’t get pregnant naturally.  I was wrong.

So, long story short, improper AAS use didn’t make me sterile.  I would say that the majority of guys our there that have used properly or improperly have recovered after enough time has passed for the body to normalize, but everyone’s different.  That being said, there are plenty of guys who are now sterile and have low natural test levels.  It's a crap shoot.

What it DID do to me is make my natural test levels fall permanently below normal which made me perpetually depressed for a period of about a year, until a year ago.  It took a while to figure out what was causing it, but eventually I had my test levels checked and I was below the normal end of the range.  I had to go on HRT.  Now I feel great.

What’s interesting is that even though my test levels were about 200, I was still producing sperm and got her pregnant….

Today, I’m much more careful with cycles and use HCG & HMG.   Even though I don’t plan to have more kids, I don’t want to make the situation worse.
