Good clip Straw- this is what I want to see.

A back and forth with no filter.

Let the chips fall where they may without the interfence of the cable news crowd.

We need a lot more of this!

I have to be honest Straw - even though I dont agree with Obama on nearly anything, things like this are good for his credibility and image.

He needs to get rid of the damn teleprompter and do more of this, even if he screws up some shit.  It makes him more "real" to the average person.

It also showed how clueless most of the Repubs are on even the basic facts on most issues.   I liked the part where explained how they've painted themselves into a corner and left themself no room to negotiate on anything.   I could hear the gears their heads spinning from all the way across cybyerspace

Like I said, let the chips fall where they may.

This was a good clip and I have to say, he did a decent job and should do a ton more of this.

I do have to say however, and call me crazy, but I truly believe he secretly wishes for the GOP to take over congress in 2010 ala Clinton 1994.

I think the dynamic of a polarizing Pelosi in the house hurts the situation alot in terms of their willingness to work with him.

I'd like to see it once a month on Prime Time TV.

Hell yeah, it would be far better than having the right scream about Chris Matthews/Maddow/Olbermann and the left about Beck/Palin/Hannity.

With regard to working with Obama, remember one thing Straw, during the TARP debate Pelosi called the GOP house members un-patriotic for not signing off on that.  From there the relationship in the house has been blood-sport.  Pelosi seriously needs to go.  She is no different than a female left wing Delay in terms of likability.

As for the Senate, it is a corrupt mess at best considering what we have seen with Nelson, Landrieu, etc.  Perhaps Reid getting beat in November will help Obama.

If Obama wants to get the people behind him again, he needs to do more of this and not just shove off his agenda to Pelosi, Waxman, Rangle, Frank, Reid, Baucus etc.
