I don't know if things have changed with how it's dispensed, but I remember not too long ago a friend of mine (without a prescription) would walk right into Walgreen's and buy Humalog on a regular basis. Have new guidelines been implemented on how they sell this?

In California, (where this alegedly went down), there is no way in hell one can pick up Humalog without a script, unless one had an illegal hook-up at the pharmacy.

Several years ago in Michigan you could go to any pharmacy and there was a little cooler with Insulin in it. Anybody could take it out of the cooler and up to the register, even after hours in some large department stores. I doubt this is true now.

I recall something like this. It was the needles that you needed the script for.

I went to walgreens with a friend about ten years ago, and he walked right up and got it with no script either. I would assume the laws have probably changed everywhere by now???
