I don't see our government helping the middle class. I see them helping the poor, themselves, unions, certain minorities, and wall street. The real middle class is struggling (I guess I would roughly define that as individuals who make $35,000-$250,000).
Again, if wealthy people are creating wealth and jobs for others, then we should be thrilled to have them. The economic pie is not static, despite what some liberals preach.
Many jobs have moved out of this country because the cost of doing business here is too high. I absolutely agreed with Obama when he originally talked about tax credits for companies who keep jobs here. Did any of that happen? When we most needed it this year? Another good sound bite that didn't materialize.
Much of the manufacturing jobs are outsourced to India, China and areas with lower taxes and lower overhead costs. It's our own fault we forced jobs out of this country.
