I'd like to know if you guys take in any calories while exercising? some people say its a good thing to do, some say its bad. Doug Hepburn used to drink milk and eat bananas and figs during his workouts and modern day John Berardi advises to drink a protein/carb drink during exercise as opposed to a post workout shake.
Others claim that this will raise blood sugar and blood will go to stomach to digest as oppossed to the muscles. Me personally I generally put some BCAA's in with some crystal light and then have a post workout shake as I have found that a protein/carb drink duuring exercise causes cramping while working legs or doing cardio after weights.
