Bob do you have any general tips on bench press form?
i would say his advice would be avoid them or do them late in your workout so that you are pre exhausted. (he has said that in many interviews and articles)
i think for people who are benching very heavy weights it can be a dangerous movement (although almost any movement can be dangerous if done incoreectly)..but for most people..specially naturals...the weights wont be that heavy so they can keep bench as a first movement...(if they like it...some people get shuolder problems..etc then you can do other chest exercies--its up you to)
bench is not a must to grow pecs..i like incline bench..also as i gotten stronger and can use pretty heavy weights and work out alone i do incline smith machine presses..then a a chest press machine and finish with cable flyes. total of 6-9 sets MAXX..work it intensely then go home. no need to do 15-20 sets...yes it will work if your on drugs but for naturals it will be a waste oftime and probably counterproductive. then come back in 3-4 days amd work chest again..no need to wait one week before you hit it again
