On that issue, I absolutly disagree, each state has it's own state constittuion and I wouldn't be surprised to find that the MA government didn't over step its bounds
State Constitutions are not always what they crack up to be. For instance, in North Carolina the State Constitution lists a requirement for a belief in God and if you do not, you cannot hold office.
Article 6, section 8 disqualifies from office any person who shall deny the being of Almighty God.This of course violates the First and Fourteenth amendment of the US Constitution .
State Constitutions are not the end all nor should they be.
