Do you REALLY think obama is 'going after' the banks and insurance companies?

Or do you think it's business as usual, with some nice high-profile populist speeches about 'going after the evil corporations' while at the same time taking their money and well aware no legislation to hurt them will ever get passed?

The Dems always raise more money.  It's because of the way things are set up.  There are restrictions against giving money for a lot of people/companies that would be giving the money to republicans.  
They just passed a bill that will change that though.  I wouldn't be surprised to see the repub's numbers climb.

I will answer 240 and Lurker.First YES!!!!I think Obama is going after the ENTIRE private sector.I think he has a real disdain for corporations.The idea that the banks paid back the TARP loans with interest and Hussein wants more is proof of that.Obama ONLY likes business if filthy unions are "running" them.So,yes I think Obama despises all big business.

I don't understand why people don't get this - they're so quick to declare 2010 a Repub win, and to call Obama a dumbass - that they don't realize he's a pretty shrewd dude.

In the 2 weeks since Brown won... Obama has gone after the banks, owned the republicans in a platform they invited him to, proposed a spending freeze, and held a safe state of union that was followed by a newbie governor who has been in office for what, less than a year?

All the while, the repubs keep looking like "the party of no" as they promise to just blindly veto everything Obama proposes.

If you don't think it's working, don't take my word for it.  let's look at what Gallup says.  Down to 46% and ready to plummet?  Nope.  He's up at 50% and every other indicator is upward trending.  He won last 2 weeks since the Brown victory. 

Repubs, please stop talking about your victory parade for winning back the house and senate.  Obama is gaining ground quietly while you celebrate.
