He raps about drugs and guns because he is part of a culture of criminality. And if he was shot at among other things I can only imagine what crimes he has likely committed or what company he keeps.
Even if someone beats woman (bad as it is) that is nothing compared to the criminals a lot of these rappers are. Besides, Stark was making a point how in some instances a woman should be hit just as some men should be, not endorsing husbands who senselessly attack thier spouses.
