NEED HELP! broken jaw and food through a straw
« on: February 16, 2010, 01:20:04 PM »
hey guys, broke my jaw playing hockey and shes wired shut for 4-8 weeks!

just wondering if anyone can offer any good insight on what kind of combo's to blend up and drink through a straw. I will be able to work out, just a little lighter but would like to know how to get the best all around nutrients possible for the situation I am in.

few ideas off top of my head.. try babyfood, they actually make sweet potato baby food and a few others that are nutritionally dense..

i know a guy at my gym prepping for a local show that gets his wife to blend up a salad w/ the various leafs, carrots, some other veggies and brings it to work.. he said it has a smoothie liike consistency and doesn't taste as bad as u think it would

Nice, I didnt even think of blending up a salad, that doesnt sound too bad at all. does he just use extra dressing to make it more liquid based?
