JME. thanks for that Rory info. I haven't heard anything about Rory since a good mutual friend of ours passed away.
I first met Rory when he was still a teen ager. Rory gave decent haircuts to some of the gym members so a couple of us drove somewhere near Pasadena and Rory was training but after he was done, he did a good job cutting hair. I might be mistaken but I think he was still a teen ager back then, but not the average sized teenage.
I do recall that that area in which the gym was located was about as far east as you could go before civilization ended and the Mojave Desert began. Now it's all a big city - an extension of the LA basin.
Ask him if he remembers Rob Johnson and his USMC friend (me).
The last time I ran into Rory was at an NPC contest in San Jose, California immediately after he lost that contest to Bob Paris. We had a small gathering after that event and Rory and his wife came for a few brief minutes with their recently born daughter, so that should give you a good idea how far back in time that was.
I did post a photo of Rory giving Rob a haircut a couple of years ago. If anyone comes across it, please repost it here.
Please give him my best regards the next time you see him. It was a long time ago, so I hope I recall it all correctly.
