This thread title reminded me of my lard-butt uncle who claimed to have squatted >2000 pounds in high school.  Guess he was including his bodyweight in that total.

Haha a few years ago when he was trying to come back i saw him struggle with 225 for a few reps at 24hr fitness here in Vegas, Sahara/Buffalo.  What a beast!  500?  No way!
