the former owner of the gym i used to go to called me the other day and told me her daughter was going to college in NYC, and wanted to know what kind of self defence tools she could buy her daughter, and be legal.....i called a list of companies that my agency has contracts with for tazers, and pepper sprays....and i came to the conclusion that only the criminals in new york have the means to defend themselves...bench
I've lived in NYC my whole life (but I am currently in Mass for school), and most areas are safe. Found out what college she goes to, and I will let you know if it's a relatively safe area or not. A lot of it is hype. There is not as much crime as people think.
its not that she thinks its dangerous...its just that they wouldnt transfer her CHL to NYC...and her mom wanted her to have something...i personally think she shouldnt carry anything...cause from what i have seen the only point of a untrained person carrying a weapon is to give the criminal a tool to take away from them and then use it on them...bench
