Don't you watch Fox News? For starters, there's Kristen Powers.

I dont watch TV other than the Yankees games.  TV is mostly a complete waste of time.

Depends on what you watch. My point, of course, was that fine liberal ladies are usually on Fox News (how appropriately named!!)  ;D

Seriously, most cable news is utter trash.  I can read the news and make up my own mind and dont need paid commentators to tell me their thoughts on something when I have my own.

It makes for great (as KRS-ONE called it) "Edutainment". And, it helps pass the time, until football season starts.

I prefer reading and talk radio by far.

The guests on the radio are typically far more informed on topics, are able to speak longer without interuption and in more detail, etc.

I am reading this book right now and cant put it down.  I learned more in the first 100 pages than you will ever with the bs on television.

I have the talk radio schedule, down cold.

Glenn Beck, 9-12
Rush, 12-3
Sean Hannity 3-6
and on occasion, Michael Savage 6-9 or Hannity 6-9 (on another station, if I missed the earlier broadcast).

Hannity is awful IMHO.  He is unlistenable.  We have a local guy named Steve Malzberg that is great, and has great guests.  in fact, Malzberg beats Hannity in NYC in the ratings.

I like Savage a lot.  He is very honest and brutual, but hits home on a lot of topics.

We have some local hosts that are great like John Batchelor, John Gambling, and others.  There is also a guy named Jeff Khuner that kicks butt.

(courtesy of Wikipedia)

Bachmann grew up in Anoka, graduating from Anoka High School in 1974. She graduated from Winona State University and later received her J.D. degree from Oral Roberts University and an LL.M. degree in tax law from the College of William and Mary's Marshall-Wythe School of Law. She was a member of the final graduating class of Oral Roberts' law school, and was part of a group of faculty, staff, and students who moved the ORU law school to what is now Regent University.

Bachmann and her husband own a mental health care practice in Stillwater. Bachmann also has an ownership stake in a family farm. Her holdings in the farm are worth up to $250,000, and generated annual income ranging from $2,000 a few years ago to up to $50,000 in 2008. In the period from 1995 through 2006, the Bachmann family farm as a whole received $251,973 in federal subsidies, chiefly for dairy and corn price supports.

How does that make her "dumb" again? She can run a business, unlike the chap currently sitting in the White House.

As for Sarah Palin...she simply went from humble beginnings to being a college-educated woman, a mayor, governor, best-selling author, and motivational speaker.

And, she's not done yet.

Wow -  she went to Oral Robert University and inherited a family farm

news flash - it's not her resume that makes her a dignbat it the batshit crazy stuff that she says

She went to ORU law school and William and Mary. What's your point, other than your cheap potshot at ORU?

And, she runs a farm as well as a mental health facility (the latter of which you should put to good use ;D )

The "math" is simple, starting with the Obama's crackpot claim that Americans (Tea Party folk, in particular) should actually thank him for cutting taxes (which, in actuality, he did not) and for keeping his campaign promise of not raising taxes on families making under $250K (which is yet more BS).

William and Mary is one of the best schools in the country. Its like an Ivy league school in the south. Not every smart person in the country wants to be indoctrinated into the ultra left teachings of the Ivy League.

She says dumb things? How about black congressman Barbara Lee?She used to be in the black panther party.I guess thats ok though. How about Bobby Rush, another former black panther.I always find it amusing how libs will create these myths that certain people are kooks but turn a blind eye towards their own bunch of gangsters and rabble rousers.

both are true

About as true as Monopoly money. And ObamaCare is testament to that.

12 Taxes in Health Care Law Violate Obama’s Pledge Not to Increase Taxes on Households Earning Less than $250,000

As many as a dozen taxes in the new health care law violate President Barack Obama’s campaign pledge not to raise taxes on families earning less than $250,000 and on individuals earning less than $200,000.

At least seven of these taxes directly affect health consumers regardless of income, such as the individual mandate to buy insurance, the employer mandate, the tanning tax, and limits and penalties on health savings accounts. In addition, Republicans argue that the tax impact of the law should include indirect taxes, such as the annual taxes on the health care sector that will be passed on to consumers.

On many occasions during the 2008 presidential campaign, candidate Barack Obama pledged that, if elected, he would ensure that Americans earning less than $250,000 a year would not see a federal tax increase of any kind.

“I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increases,” the Illinois senator told a crowd in Dover, N.H. on Sept. 12, 2008. “Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”......

boo hoo - a tanning tax

as long as net taxes go down for these < 250k then he is fine and since none of those things have gone into effect yet the only result at the present is lower taxes

boo hoo - a tanning tax

Notwithstanding that tanning taxes are hardly the only ones that Obama's going to hike, what part of "NOT ANY OF YOUR TAXES" don't you understand?

Nobody's taxes (if they made under $250K) was supposed to go up "one single dime". Face the facts. Obama has basically lied his "hope-and-change" behind off.

What a ridiculous statement. That's like saying cancer isn't so bad, because it hasn't begun tearing up your internal organs....."YET"!!

Obama didn't say that he wouldn't raise taxes NOW but would sometime down the road. He said he wouldn't do so, PERIOD, for any family making under $250K. Their taxes weren't supposed to go up "one single dime". There was no time constraint on that.

We've already seen the effects, as now Walgreens in Washington (state) will take no more Medicaid folks. And, that's just the start of the pain.

how do you figure this is related to Obama's statement that Teabaggers should thank him for lowering their taxes?
I'm not seeing the connect at all but surely you can connect the dots for us

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2011367936_walgreens18m.html
Walgreens: no new Medicaid patients as of April 16
By Janet I. Tu

Seattle Times staff reporter

Effective April 16, Walgreens drugstores across the state won't take any new Medicaid patients, saying that filling their prescriptions is a money-losing proposition — the latest development in an ongoing dispute over Medicaid reimbursement.

The company, which operates 121 stores in the state, will continue filling Medicaid prescriptions for current patients.

In a news release, Walgreens said its decision to not take new Medicaid patients stemmed from a "continued reduction in reimbursement" under the state's Medicaid program, which reimburses it at less than the break-even point for 95 percent of brand-name medications dispensed to Medicaid patents.

Walgreens follows Bartell Drugs, which stopped taking new Medicaid patients last month at all 57 of its stores in Washington, though it still fills Medicaid prescriptions for existing customers at all but 15 of those stores.

Doug Porter, the state's director of Medicaid, said Medicaid recipients should be able to readily find another pharmacy because "we have many more pharmacy providers in our network than we need" for the state's 1 million Medicaid clients
.

He said those who can't can contact the state's Medical Assistance Customer Service Center at 1-800-562-3022 for help in locating one.

Along with Walgreens and Bartell, the Ritzville Drug Company in Adams County announced in November that it would stop participating in Medicaid.

Fred Meyer and Safeway said their pharmacies would continue to serve existing Medicaid patients and to take new ones, though both expressed concern that the reimbursement rate is too low for pharmacies to make a profit.

The amount private insurers and Medicaid pay pharmacies for prescriptions isn't the actual cost of those drugs but rather is based on what's called the drug's estimated average wholesale price. But that figure is more like the sticker price on a car than its actual wholesale cost.

Washington was reimbursing pharmacies 86 percent of a drug's average wholesale price until July, when it began paying them just 84 percent. While pharmacies weren't happy about the reimbursement reduction, the Department of Social and Health Services said that move was expected to save the state about $10 million.

Then in September came another blow. The average wholesale price is calculated by a private company, which was accused in a Massachusetts lawsuit of fraudulently inflating its figures. The company did not admit wrongdoing but agreed in a court settlement to ratchet its figures down by about 4 percent.

That agreement took effect in September — and prompted a lawsuit by a group of pharmacies and trade associations that said Washington state didn't follow federal law in setting its reimbursement rate, and that that rate is too low. The lawsuit is pending.

"Washington state Medicaid is now reimbursing pharmacies less than their cost of participation," said Jeff Rochon, CEO of the Washington State Pharmacy Association.

Pharmacies that continue to fill Medicaid prescriptions at the current state reimbursement rate are "at risk of putting themselves out of business altogether," he said.

Both higher taxes and lowered quality in coverage are the results of this foolishness, known as ObamaCare.

Obama said that NONE of people's taxes would go up "one single dime". Since ObamaCare does hike up taxes for families making under $250, that makes his campaign promise a bunch of BS.
