Why pay $45 for mediocre cards? You're pretty much patting Dana White on the back for mediocrity. And as long as people continue to pay for cards like that, they'll keep doing it. A few years ago $45 got you a card that had 5+ good fights on it. Now you're lucky to get one, and in the case of the last four or so cards, not even that.

Sad, but true. Hawaii is a bastion of MMA because they love to fight here and since we don't matter in any other sport BJ Penn is a hero and the biggest celeb here. Hawaii has proportionately more MMA schools here than in any other State. This place is crawling with the TapOut douche bag warriors. I love MMA but I agree with everything else.

I attended a local MMA even with 15 fights last month. Easily 90% of people under 30 were wearing tapout/affliction/local fight gear brand that had ridiculous logos of birds, wings, stupid slogans. It looked like all the guys were there to mean mug eachother and stare you down. Even the 90lb twink types would lock eyes with you and stare ...like waiting for a fight or something? It was ridiculous.
