Lew "Wild Thing" Yates was on an unstoppable course to the World Heavyweight boxing title in the early 70s before several run ins with the law cost him his licence and ultimately his freedom.
"I was unstoppable in 72-73, I was on my way to fighting and crushing then champion George Foreman, i would then have beaten Ali,although it would have been a hard fight I admit that, then the likes to Larry Holmes and finally id have retired about 1986 signing off with a win over the then up and coming Mike Tyson."
Lew has no regrets about the way his life went.
"It just wasn't meant to be,God had other plans for me, but I have no doubt if things had gone the other way I'd now be remembered as "The Greatest!"
