Illegal Mexican Roofers

I know someone that had some Illegal Mexicans put a new roof on their house.  From what they've told me, the estimate they got from a local "reputable" business in down was $12000, and the Mexicans did it for $3000.  As far as I can tell they did a really good job...

Exactly. What happens to any roofing business that replaces all their illegals with legal american workers? They go out of business instantly.

Not if there are no illegals left.Then EVERY company would hire American workers and everyone would compete evenly.

These same roofers put a roof on a commercial building.  When they were finished, the owner told them he wasn't paying until it rained so he could make sure there were no leaks. From what I've been told, he ended up not paying these guys a penny even though the roof didn't leak.  I guess he knew they couldn't do anything about it anyway.  :-\

Oh please,the companies would adjust,just like Americans would adjust.Funny we seemed to fine in the 50s 60s,70s without a bunch of wet backs streaming across the borders but now we cant function without them.Maybe if lazy ass blacks would get off their ass and stop waiting for Obama to take care of them,they could take the jobs.

Illegals also don't carry insurance workers comp disability or pay payroll taxes.  Guess wh pays when they gety hurt on your property.

One of these guys actually fell off the house (I swear, haha)  Two stories high, he got up and went back to work.  That's what the homeowners told me at least...  ;D
