Old wrestling mags....
« on: May 07, 2010, 05:15:30 AM »
I used to have a huge amount of them, still have quite a few.  Pro Wrestling Illustrated, The Wrester and Inside Wrestling.  Plus a few lesser known ones.  I found a couple of boxes of old ones at a flea market one time that were from the early 70's.   That was pretty cool to look thru.

any of the rest of you buy them back in the day?

Because I was a Federation mark in my prepubescent years, most of my early 80’s mags are WWF Magazine (and, forgive me, Father for I have sinned).
I had a few of the “regional” publications as well - usually bought the ones that had bloodied guys on the cover.

I still have every single magazine I ever purchased.
They’re in a rather large box in my basement - I couldn’t bring myself to toss them even during my move.
I was just in the box (no, the one with the mags) a few weeks ago, when I scanned those photos of Sherri & a few of the old ads.

It was cool reading that you still have a lot of yours & continue to buy old ones.

hahaha, actually I bought those older ones years ago....I was like 14 or so at the time.....it was every issue, so you could follow what was going on month to month in territories...  Although if I ran across a few now...I'd probably buy them.  ;D

On a related note, you know at the beginning of "The Wrester" they are showing clippings from old mags as the credits run?  To show what a mark I was/am, I id'd the pics as Lex Luger with Mickey's head on them, and then read about it later....... :-\

Not close, I'm in NC.  Those old mags were great.  I still have them somewhere.
