Every year the lighting in the IFBB pro shows are different. Some times the lighting is horrible and sometimes great. Shouldn't there be a IFBB standard?

This type of "cave-lighting" should be an IFBB standard. British Grand Prix 99

Definitely some of the best lighting, along with many of the past Ironman shows and Olympias...unfortunately, it all comes down to venue specs, "theater" styles are best for lighting by far, "expo" style venues are the most challenging as there are considerations of seating, space, obstructed view, etc...

Adding to that is the ever present media/ photographers, who like things lit a certain way, and promoters, who may have their own ideal for production value....back drops also can add or subtract from quality...
