I do not think the percentage of hot chicks has necessarily increased in the past 10 years.  However it is indisputable that the variety of females has increased.  I think it is a plus to see far more Black, Latin and Asian chicks to choose from in current releases.  Back in the 90s there were only a few big name "token" ethnic chicks who were featured with any degree of regularity.

The advent of cheap handheld broadcast quality video cameras seemed to bring many new porn production companies into the mix.  With these new companies came more variety in the titles available and females featured in mainstream porn titles.  Both the "freakiness" of the porn offered and the variety of girls has seemingly increased tenfold.

One word "internet." 10 years ago it wasn't that widespread. Now that everyone is on the internet these chicks are too, far more attention whoring and anyone could literally be a "star."

this is true!  The Internet has allowed women the annonimity to express their very natural desires.  These natural desires have been hidden behind "civilization" for a thousand years.  The truth, as much as it pains civilized society, is that women LOVE to fuck...LOVE to fuck and even more women LOVE to be looked at.  The modern age has provided the technology for this to occur easily.
