Sadly Obama loves every minute of it.He hopes it destroys a 1000 miles.Another straw man for him to figt.First it was bankers then insurance companies now oil companies.Another industry for him to destroy.
Firstly, I really don't think you believe that Obama hopes that another 1000 miles will be destroyed. And Lastly, the oil companies have done this to themselves. Ever notice how gas prices jump as soon as vacation season hits? Ever notice how they either buy up new technologies on alternative fuels or stifle the research?
Another industry did similar things. Back in 1971 Nixon decided not to mandate that airbags be put in cars. He said, and this is what the Big three lobbied, that it would cost too much for the car companies. That was 1971! Can you imagine the safety features we would have in cars had not the Car industry lobbyists and Nixon decied to forgoe Airbags? They set car safety tech back some 39 yrs!
