Freemasons?
Skeeter hit it right on the head for you EYE. You will see low level masons with these placards or medallion like devices placed on the rear of their cars. They are the symbols of freemasonry and the colors pertain to the particular lodge the person belongs to. If all you saw was these two simple red lines, then the lodge or the person is REALLY CHEAP (lol) as most of these masonic emblems are more elaborate with multiple colors and patterns on them. Women have five pointed stars with each point of the star being a different color. That type of medallion signifies allegiance to the EASTERN STAR branch of masons. The men usually have the SQUARE and COMPASS insignia with equal elaboration and colors in the background.
