It's being "covered". You can find a 50 word article buried on CNN about it. If it doesn't involve the world's perpetual victims in the Gazans, the human rights crusaders aren't interested. For further proof, see the Darfurian genocide of 1.5 million people at the hands of the Muslim janjaweed that went ignored.  

I think that it was Showstoppa that sent the congressman assault to his local news, also.

I don't think this has anything to do with Islam, it's political unrest from April that has spilled over from anti-government protests into ethnic clashes.  Uzbeks vs Krygyz.  Doesn't make it right of course and i think it's something to keep an eye on as it could escalate dramatically into a civil war.  But it's got nothing to do with Islam or jihad and to insinuate it does is rather foolish.
