Running help needed
« on: July 02, 2010, 11:55:45 AM »
I keep trying to run distance and my tibialis anterior- especially my right side- gets way too pumped tight and painful to keep going. Anybody know what causes this and how I might fix it?

No my symptoms are not so severe at any time other than when I am running. Im thinking my shoes aren't right or possibly my running form isn't correct.

Also since I am doing this for MMA, can you give me some pointers as to what I can/should be doing in the gym?

Do toe taps-sit on a bench, tap your feet as high and as fast as possible for a minute or two.  Much harder than it sounds.

Sit down and have a beer till the feeling goes away.

....I mean the feeling of wanting to run long distance.
