Shooting the Macworld iPhone cover with an iPhone 4
« on: July 31, 2010, 05:40:20 AM »

With all of the hoopla surrounding the iPhone 4 antenna, one of the phone’s more compelling features - that being its kickass camera - was consistently overlooked. In fact, the iPhone 4 camera is so well-regarded at Macworld that they decided to shoot and edit the cover of their latest issue entirely with the iPhone 4.

Shooting and editing only on the iPhone had its challenges. Normally Peter shoots Macworld covers with a Phase One P65+ digital camera, which offers 12 times the resolution of the iPhone 4’s camera. That meant getting an image as close to the size of the Macworld cover as possible, because any cropping would reduce the resolution of the image even further.

I'll probably consider one next year if the antenna problem is gone in the upgrade and we have true 4G.

I don't think the next iPhone will be 4G (lte) ready.
