Yeah, great for you. Another world authority who happens to run a small facility.

The Nautilus biceps machine is a good one. If you have the one that you do one arm at a time it is even better.

Expalin to me the advantages of running a large facility besides disassociating yourself with members you can't even remember the names of let alone chart their progress.

Machines are good to two thing, making yourself look pretty (narcissism) and making yourself better on that machine. Vince, a couple of weeks ago you posted one of the dumbest fucking things I've EVER heard in my 35 years of training. You said something to the effect of "I would have never invented such rubbish as barbells and dumbells" I will never for that, for someone who thinks they know something about training or "hypertrophy" that was incredibly ignorant and shows your TOTAL lack of knowledge!!

for the money....if i had a gym i wouldn't care what my members progress looked like....as long as they kept coming...

that the difference between a gym, and a training facility...

i don't look at your place as a gym at all...i see it as a training facility...

gyms were never meant to be anything but a money maker...training centers are actually there to help people achieve goals......the majority of people will never see the difference..

you kinda answered your own question here also..gyms are for nothing but narcissism...we are not a performance based species anymore.......the world has proven that.....its all about the look and glamour.....wether you, and i like it, or not...

Good point, that's why I specialize in what I do, if I have the reputation of training people to excel then my reputation should dictate my business, that's why I told Vince that I can get more results from my athletes out my garage than he can out of a 10,000 sqft gym filled with machines. But I totally agree with what you're saying. Most people don't know any better.

"Machine only" workouts = Doing your whole workout while sitting on your ass.

Get up and lift some weights. Machines are good for certain things., Just not the "be all, end all" like some of these HIT fanatics / trainers push on everyone.

That machine is used for pre-exhausting the pecs you do the flye first which doesnt include the triceps (which is a weak link to chest training) then the press with no rest superset fashion. The peddle at the bottom is so you can go beyond failure by pushing with the feet for the positive rep portion then lower the weight slowly to continue in negative fashion to failure. A good machine.
Yup, that is it exactly, good/correct info right there
