If you watched the Wire religiously ( as I did) you would know that the only reason Davis gets off is because the braindead Baltimore D.A. decides to try him in front of an all black Baltimore City jury instead of letting the Feds take the case to Federal court.

Rod beat the Fed's and the Obama administration. Way more impressive a feat. Let's also not forget that Jesse Jackson Jr. ( who worked on Obama's campaign staff) was an FBI informant against Rod. Didn't mean shit at the end of the day.

The Blago circus is far from over, he still got hit with Felony for lying the FBI, and the other 23 counts will be tried again. They had 1 hold out, so a hung jury, Rod is far from free and clear in this.

Yeah, but if he hung a Federal Jury and they have him dead to rights on a single count of lying to the FBI, chances are ( I would think), rather than potentially get embarassed again, the Feds would let him take a plea on the one count and do 16 months in Federal lockup.

I don't know, there were a lot of witness's that were never called, I bet they take the stand in the next trial. Don't be surprised in Jesse Jackson Jr., Rham Emanual get called this time. Blagojevich is as crooked as a dogs hind leg. But hell its Illinois you can bet the fix was in.
