I'm one not to believe the whole 'bricklaying business'. I think it was a story either made up or embellished. I have been a HUGE Arnold fan for many, many years and have seen countless of pictures of The Man and have yet to see ONE SINGLE picture of he and Franco working and/or running their 'business'. Of all the pictures of Arnold ever taken you'd think at least one would've surfaced.

I'm pretty sure Arnold made most of his money from investing in restate, and other major ventures. The only reason the brick laying business is mentioned, is because it was started when he was still in his early 20's, before they had the capital to invest in anything major.

I think the whole bricklaying thing was a cover story for all the money that Arnold and Franco were getting from Weider on the side....I'm sure Weider was funneling money to them on the side and Weider didn't want the other BB'ers to get pissed off so hence the "bricklaying " job

I once helped a friend dismantle and then rebuild the chimney on his little place up at Tahoe. I do not now consider myself a bricklayer or a chimney builder. I suspect Arnold & Franco have about as much experience in the field as I do.

in his autobio, Arnold touches on a construction biz that he invested in with Franco, no actual work done by them, dont know if it made money.

I believe Draper is an actual artisan, a carpenter, but the whole thing was a story, PR and to blow up the "got-off-the-boat-with-2 bucks-in-my-pocket-and-look-at-me-now" story...
